Makassar, August 31, 2024 – The Fisheries Resource Utilization Study Program, Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries, Hasanuddin University held a workshop entitled “Updating Semester Learning Plans (RPS) Based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Project Based Learning (PjBL)” on Saturday, August 31, 2024. This activity took place in the Senate Meeting Room of the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries Sciences. This workshop presented two speakers who are experts in their fields. The first speaker, Prof. Dr. Yusring Sanusi Baso, S.S., M. App. Ling, presented the material entitled “Preparation of RPS with PBL and PjBL Methods”. He explained how PBL and PjBL methods can be effectively applied in RPS to increase student involvement and skills in the learning process.

The second session was continued by Dr. Hendra, S.Si., M. Kom., with the material entitled “Implementation of SIKOLA for Optimizing Academic Services”. Dr. Hendra introduced the SIKOLA academic information system as a digital solution for optimizing academic services in the faculty environment, as well as how it is integrated in supporting PBL and PjBL methods. This activity is part of the PSP study program’s efforts to continue to develop and update an educational curriculum that is adaptive and relevant to industry needs and technological developments. Hopefully, through this workshop, lecturers can implement PBL and PjBL-based learning more effectively in the classroom, so that students can develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
