Carrying the theme of Sustainable Utilization of Fishery Resources, lecturers of the Capture Fisheries Study Program carried out community service in Nisombalia Village, Marusu District, Maros Regency on June 30th, 2021. The service was attended by approximately 60 people, consisting of lecturers and students of the PSP Study Program, village officials and fishing communities where the service is located, is carried out by implementing health protocols. In his remarks, the head of Kuri Caddi Village Safri, S.Pd.I., say that, in accordance with the potential of the village, this kind of service activity is really needed to improve the skills and knowledge of fishermen about fishing to maintain the sustainability of the availability of fish in nature. This activity was officially opened by the Deputy Dean for Planning, Finance, and Resources of the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries Sciences, Hasanuddin University, Safruddin, S.Pi., MP., Ph.D. In this activity, socialization was carried out on responsible and sustainable capture fisheries as well as counseling on various forms of diversification of fishery products, packaging, and marketing methods.
