Makassar, September 17, 2025 – The Capture Fisheries Study Program, Faculty of Marine Sciences and Fisheries, conducted an Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) Audit on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. The activity, held at the Capture Fisheries Study Program Room, 3rd Floor of FIKP, presented two auditors, Prof. Dr. Ir. Sharifuddin Bin Andy Omar, M.Sc. and Prof. Dr. Ir. Ambo Tuwo, DEA.

The audit was attended by the Head of the Capture Fisheries Study Program, Muhammad Kurnia, S.Pi., M.Sc., Ph.D., along with the Vice Head of the Program Study and the Program Study Quality Assurance Unit. During its implementation, the auditors and team emphasized the evaluation of several key standards, such as the vision, mission, goals, and objectives of the study program, which serve as the foundation for its academic and managerial development. The discussion also highlighted the graduate competency standards, which are closely related to the attitudes, skills, and knowledge that students must acquire upon completing their studies. Equally important, the audit examined the research outcome standards of the study program as indicators of the academic quality and contribution of both lecturers and students in advancing knowledge and technology in the field of capture fisheries.
The SPMI audit proceeded smoothly and was successfully completed. Through this activity, the program study received valuable feedback to further enhance the quality of education management, research, and community service. Muhammad Kurnia, S.Pi., M.Sc., Ph.D., as Head of the Capture Fisheries Study Program, expressed his appreciation to the auditors and all team members who actively contributed to the activity. This SPMI audit is expected to provide important momentum to strengthen the culture of quality and support the achievement of the Capture Fisheries Study Program’s future vision.
