This study program is one of the study programs under the department of fisheries, Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries, Hasanuddin University. On April 13th 2021, the CFSP received the predicate of UNGGUL Accreditation (Excellent Accreditation) from the National Accreditation Agency of Higher Education (BAN-PT) No.1949\/SK\/BAN-PT\/AK-ISK\/IV\/2021, Indonesia. It means that the education standard used in the CFSP exceeds the National Standard for Higher Education (SN-DIKTI) in Indonesia. This study programme is located in central Indonesia with unique environmental characteristics for deep-sea capture fisheries with the multi-gear and multispecies fishery in terms of geographical position.
